Glynux M 2 Forte Tablet is specifically used for the management of type 2 diabetes mellitus, a chronic condition characterised by high blood sugar levels. It belongs to the class of medicines known as oral hypoglycaemic agents, which help control blood glucose levels.
Glynux M 2 Forte Tablet is utilised for:
• Management of type 2 diabetes mellitus.
• Prevention of long-term complications linked to diabetes, such as neuropathy, nephropathy, retinopathy, and limb amputation.
• Swallow the tablet whole with water.
• It is advised to take the tablet during a meal as prescribed by your doctor.
• Do not crush or chew the tablet.
• Maintain consistent dosing at the same time daily.
• Consult your doctor before discontinuing the medicine.
Glynux M 2 Forte Tablet is taken orally.
Glynux M 2 Forte Tablet may induce several side effects, including:
• Nausea
• Diarrhoea
• Abdominal pain
• Upper respiratory tract infection
Glynux M 2 Forte Tablet includes two active components:
• Metformin (1000 mg): A biguanide antidiabetic agent that decreases hepatic glucose production and enhances cellular insulin sensitivity, encouraging increased glucose uptake and utilisation while inhibiting intestinal glucose absorption.
• Glimepiride (2 mg): A sulfonylurea that stimulates pancreatic beta cells to secrete more insulin, facilitating the uptake of glucose by tissues, thereby lowering blood glucose levels.
This medicine is contraindicated during pregnancy. Consult your doctor if you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant.
This medicine is not recommended if you are a breastfeeding mother. Please consult your doctor before taking it.
Avoid alcohol consumption as it may potentiate the risk of lactic acidosis and hypoglycaemia.
Patients with liver impairment should use this medicine cautiously and under medical supervision.
Consult your doctor if you have kidney issues, as regular monitoring of renal function is advised.
Due to the risk of hypoglycaemia, which may cause dizziness or confusion, avoid operating vehicles or machinery if affected.
If allergic to glimepiride or metformin, consult your doctor before use.
This medicine is not recommended for individuals under 10 years of age without a doctor's advice.
Increased sensitivity to hypoglycaemia is observed; use under medical supervision is advised.
