Rabzix 20 Tablet contains rabeprazole (20 mg), which acts in the body as follows:

• Inhibition of Gastric H+/K+ ATPase: Rabeprazole inhibits the action of the H+/K+ ATPase pump located in the gastric parietal cells. This prevents the final step of acid production, effectively reducing gastric acidity.

• Reduction in Acid Secretion: By inhibiting acid secretion, rabeprazole facilitates the healing of ulcers in the stomach and oesophagus.

Drug-Drug Interactions

• Anticoagulants: This tablet may increase the risk of bleeding in patients taking anticoagulants like warfarin.

• Immunosuppressants: It can inhibit the metabolism of immunosuppressants like cyclosporine, possibly leading to increased levels in your body.

• Acid-Dependent Medications: This tablet reduces stomach acidity, potentially affecting the absorption and efficacy of acid-dependent medications.

Drug-Disease Interactions

• Osteoporosis: Long-term use of proton pump inhibitors may increase the risk of fractures in those with or at risk for osteoporosis.

• Hypomagnesemia: Prolonged use may lead to low magnesium levels, especially in patients with existing hypomagnesemia.

Daily Dosage

• Take this tablet as advised by your doctor, tailored to your specific condition and response to treatment.

Missed Dose

• If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. If it is nearly time for your next dose, skip the missed one and continue with your regular schedule.

Overdose

• Overdose symptoms may include headache, abdominal pain, and diarrhoea. Seek immediate medical attention if you suspect an overdose.

• Keep the medicine in its original packaging, away from light and moisture.

• Keep out of reach of children.

• Check the expiry date and do not use beyond this date.
