Telniz Beta 50 Tablet is primarily utilised to manage high blood pressure, known scientifically as hypertension. This medicine comprises two active pharmaceutical ingredients and falls under the therapeutic class of antihypertensive medications.
This medication is usually prescribed to address the following conditions:
• Management of hypertension
• Reduction of risk for cardiovascular events, including strokes and myocardial infarctions
• Management of angina pectoris
• Heart failure management
• Reduction of risk for heart attack or stroke in patients over 55 years old who are predisposed to major cardiovascular events
• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.
• Do not chew, crush, or break the tablet.
• Take the medicine with or without food.
• Maintain a consistent daily time for administration to aid adherence.
• Consult your doctor if discontinuation of the medicine is considered, as a gradual dose reduction may be necessary.

Telniz Beta 50 Tablet contains two active components:

• Telmisartan (40 mg): An angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB), it inhibits the effects of angiotensin II, leading to vasodilation and reduced systemic vascular resistance.
Telniz Beta 50 Tablet is advised against use during pregnancy, especially in the second and third trimesters, due to potential harm to the foetus.
It is advised not to use this medicine while breastfeeding. Consult your doctor for guidance.
Avoid alcohol consumption, as it may potentiate hypotensive effects and increase the risk of dizziness.

This medicine is not recommended in patients with kidney issues.

• Potassium-Rich Foods: Consumption may lead to hyperkalaemia, a condition characterised by elevated potassium levels in the blood.
Drug-Disease Interactions
• Diabetes: May alter glucose control, necessitating close monitoring.
• Asthma or Obstructive Airway Diseases: Can exacerbate respiratory conditions.
• Severe Cardiac Conditions: Avoid in cases of bradycardia, heart block, or sick sinus syndrome due to risk of condition exacerbation.
Daily Dosage
• The dosage should be taken as prescribed by your doctor, based on your specific medical condition and response to therapy.
Missed Dose
• If a dose is missed, take it as soon as remembered unless it is nearly time for the next dose. Do not double the dose to catch up.
Overdose
