Renglipt M 1000 Tablet is primarily used for the management of type 2 diabetes mellitus, a condition characterised by insulin resistance and impaired insulin secretion. This oral medication is part of the class of medicines known as antidiabetic agents.
Renglipt M 1000 Tablet is utilised for the following purposes:
• Managing type 2 diabetes mellitus in adults
• Controlling elevated blood sugar levels more effectively than metformin alone
• Preventing complications of diabetes such as kidney damage
• Reducing the risk of diabetes-related blindness
• Mitigating nerve issues caused by diabetes
• Preventing limb amputations due to severe diabetes complications
• Addressing sexual dysfunction associated with diabetes
• Reducing the risk of cardiovascular events such as heart attack and stroke
• Take Renglipt M 1000 Tablet whole with a glass of water.

Renglipt M 1000 Tablet contains two active components, metformin and teneligliptin, which function as follows:

• Teneligliptin (20 mg): This is a DPP-4 inhibitor that stabilises incretin hormones, GLP-1 and GIP, essential for regulating postprandial blood sugar levels. By maintaining these hormones, teneligliptin boosts insulin secretion and reduces glucagon levels, leading to lower blood glucose levels.

• High-fat diets: These may slow metformin absorption, reducing its therapeutic effectiveness.

• Metabolic acidosis: Avoid this medication in cases of acute or chronic metabolic acidosis, as it can worsen the condition.
Daily Dosage
• The daily dosage of Renglipt M 1000 Tablet should be taken as prescribed by your doctor, tailored to your health condition and response to treatment. Do not exceed the dosage without consulting your doctor.
Missed Dose
• If you miss a dose, take it as soon as possible. If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose. Do not double the dose to catch up.
Overdose
• Symptoms of overdose may encompass nausea, vomiting, or diarrhoea. Seek prompt medical attention if overdose is suspected.
