Glynux MV 2.2 Tablet is primarily used for the management of type 2 diabetes mellitus in adults. This medicine belongs to the class of antidiabetic agents, specifically formulated to regulate blood glucose levels.
Glynux MV 2.2 Tablet is prescribed for:
• Managing type 2 diabetes mellitus in adults
• Reducing the risk of cardiovascular complications such as heart attacks or strokes
• Take the tablet whole with a glass of water.
• Do not crush, chew, or break the tablet.
• Take with food to enhance absorption and minimise gastrointestinal discomfort.
• Maintain a consistent daily schedule for optimal blood glucose control.
• Adhere strictly to the dosage regimen as prescribed by your doctor.
Glynux MV 2.2 Tablet is taken orally.
Glynux MV 2.2 Tablet may cause certain side effects, which include:
• Nausea
• Vomiting
• Diarrhoea
• Abdominal pain
• Hypoglycaemia (low blood glucose levels)
Glynux MV 2.2 Tablet consists of three active components:
• Glimepiride (2 mg): A sulphonylurea that stimulates insulin secretion from pancreatic beta-cells, facilitating glucose regulation.
• Voglibose (0.2 mg): An alpha-glucosidase inhibitor that delays carbohydrate digestion and absorption, reducing postprandial hyperglycaemia.
• Metformin hydrochloride (500 mg): A biguanide that decreases hepatic glucose production, enhances insulin sensitivity, and promotes peripheral glucose uptake.
This tablet is advised against use during pregnancy due to potential foetal harm.
Not recommended as the components may pass into breast milk.

Caution is advised in case of mild or moderate liver impairment. Not advised for those with severe liver disease due to increased lactic acidosis risk.
