Sitanux M XR 500 Tablet is primarily prescribed for the management of blood sugar levels in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus. This medication is classified under antidiabetic medicines.
Sitanux M XR 500 Tablet is prescribed for the following conditions:
• Management of type 2 diabetes mellitus
• Enhanced blood sugar control
• Supporting insulin production and sensitivity
• Decreasing glucose production
• Take Sitanux M XR 500 Tablet as directed by your doctor.
• Swallow the tablet whole with water, without crushing or breaking it.
• Maintain an appropriate diet and regular physical activity while taking this medicine.
• Ensure you complete the full course as prescribed by your doctor.
Sitanux M XR 500 Tablet is taken orally.
Common side effects associated with Sitanux M XR 500 Tablet include:
• Nausea
• Vomiting
• Diarrhoea
• Abdominal bloating
• Decreased appetite
Sitanux M XR 500 Tablet contains two active ingredients:
• Sitagliptin (50 mg): This DPP-4 inhibitor increases incretin levels, stimulating insulin secretion and reducing glucagon production when blood glucose levels are high.
• Metformin (500 mg): As a biguanide, metformin reduces hepatic glucose production, decreases intestinal glucose absorption, and enhances insulin sensitivity.
It is not recommended in pregnancy.

Avoid alcohol consumption as it may increase the risk of lactic acidosis and hypoglycaemia.

This medicine is not recommended for individuals with severe kidney disease. Regular monitoring is advised.
If you experience dizziness or drowsiness, avoid driving or operating machinery.
Inform your doctor if you have allergies to sitagliptin, metformin, or any other ingredients in Sitanux M XR 500 Tablet.
It is not recommended for children under 18 years.
More susceptible to side effects, hence, use under medical supervision is recommended, especially if over 70 years old.

Daily Dosage

Missed Dose
